A lot of the frames that we produce are quite large and styrene is the safest glazing choice. If you do require glass, we can either ship empty so that you can get a local glazier to supply or fit, or you can collect by arrangement.

Styrene has a peelable, protective coating on both sides. Please remove this carefully only after you have inspected your purchase. Styrene glazing is very light and resilient but can scratch easily if care is not taken. Please only lightly dust with either a very soft cloth or, preferably, a feather duster as vigorous cleaning with even a soft cloth can move particles around that may scuff or scratch the surface.

Any tape that we provide for hinging is to conservation grade standard and is used to affix your certificates or photos to the mountboard. Please secure along the top edge only. This will allow some expansion and movement of the artwork and help prevent the image from becoming wavy. Tape along the back of the artwork and onto the back of the mountboard.

Please take care when removing the back of the frame or inserting the mounted artwork as the flexitabs used to secure the backing can be quite sharp.

Included are two self adhesive frame bumpers that should be placed along the bottom edge of the frame to help protect wall coverings and to allow air circulation around the artwork.
